Our Story

Turner’s has grown across South Georgia and North Florida—adapting with the times and generations, yet always focused on quality, service, and community.

Milestones

1915

M.W. Turner Sr. opens a hardware store in Pelham, Georgia—our beginning.

~1929

M.W. Turner Jr. joins the business, marking the 2nd generation of leadership.

1959–1961

Expansion to Tifton; the 3rd generation (M.W. Turner III and brother Scott) joins.

1976

Valdosta location opens, setting the stage for regional growth.

1988–1990

4th generation—Fortson, Austin, and Scott—joins Turner’s.

1991–2000

Launch and growth of the Budget concept in Valdosta, Tifton, Albany, and Moultrie.

2003

Distribution Center established to keep more inventory in stock and speed delivery.

2009

Named Georgia Trend’s Family-Owned Business of the Year.

2010–2014

New locations open in Beachton and Tallahassee.

2016–2018

Distribution Center expansion and the Warner Robins store opens.

2022

Valdosta showroom expansion with more space and more style.

2023–2024

Whit and Wright Turner join the business—the 5th generation continues the legacy.
